As an apprentice you will be joining our team of highly skilled and dedicated employees based at our Porton Down site in Salisbury.
The role of a Cyber Degree Apprentice will be integral to supporting the development of the UK’s cyber, security and defence capabilities. Embracing your part in a team is an important attribute integral to develop and deliver scientific, software or engineering solutions to defence & security issues. You will know that the work you contribute to will have impact and plays an important part in better protecting us all.
At the end of the scheme you will have had a good mix of academic and work-based learning experiences to ensure you develop the skills that will support you and the organisation in the future.

If you were to graduate as Dstl apprentice you would:
- Build no typical tuition fees
- Work and learn for 4 years
- Achieve a Level 6/BSc Degree Cyber apprenticeship
All posts require standard Security Clearance (SC). This role is only open to UK Nationals. Due to the sensitivity of the work, you will need to be able to meet the minimum requirements for Developed Vetting (DV) and for this you will have had to reside in the UK for the previous 10 years.
Starting salary is circa £20,500 per annum and the apprenticeship is on a 4 year fixed term basis.
