I joined Buzzacott as an Accounts Assistant in the Corporate Finance team in the summer of 2017. Having just made the decision to leave university, it was nerve wracking to say the least. Considering I studied History and German at univer- sity and had never had any experience working in a financial sector, Buzzacott really could not have made the transition any smoother.
I have found the experience of working, as well as attending college and studying for exams, both challenging and reward- ing. Having on-the-job experience really does help when you are learning a particular topic and it has eased my nerves when taking exams, helping me pass all of them so far. Although I am still studying for my AAT qualification, I do not feel as though I am unable to do my job efficiently. My colleagues trust me to work to the best of my ability and I have gained independence when working with clients.
Even as a trainee, you really feel a sense of community at Buzzacott. I feel valued in my position and confident enough to give my opinion on situations that arise. Everyone is always willing and eager to help and I know everyone at Buzzacott is hoping that we succeed.
One thing I have really enjoyed at Buzzacott is the atmosphere in the work place. For a professional environment, the office is still young and I enjoy coming to work every day. Buzzacott encourages each employee to interact with each other on both professional and social levels and I believe this is why everyone works so well as a team.
I would encourage all trainees to consider Buzzacott for their future career. There really is a place for everyone here.
