## About Anchor Trust

Anchor are England’s largest provider of care and housing for the over 55’s. We have 130 care homes and over 1,000 housing locations employing around 9,500 colleagues who support our customers to live happy lives for the years ahead.

With the Health & Social Care industry growing at the rate it is, we need another 275,000 carers to enter the market by 2025. That’s why we’ve developed the Anchor Apprenticeship Academy. The Anchor Apprenticeship Academy has supported us to become a Top 50 Employer of School & College Leavers, something we are really proud of.

We offer level 2 and level 3 apprenticeships across a broad range of subjects including:

- Health & Social Care
- Business Administration
- Digital Marketing
- Payroll
- Customer Service
- Catering
- IT
- And the range is varying with each intake…

Our Apprenticeships give you high quality training and in-depth industry exposure, setting you up for a fantastic career. You’ll learn new job skills, as well as get involved with events and away days where you’ll complete team-building activities and develop your communication skills.

We also offer a number of programmes to support you into an Apprenticeship including:

- Traineeship opportunities – try out a number of roles within one of our homes to see if they are right for you and gain work and interview experience and gain a reference, with the opportunity to move onto an apprenticeship.
- Work Experience
- Volunteering
- Step In2 Care – 2 day experience and job skills training in partnership with your school or college.

## Who are we?

Care and housing for older people is our business. But it’s also our passion. And unlike many other large care providers, it’s all we do.

Through our care homes and our housing locations, we care about people’s individual needs and their everyday lives. And the dedicated teams of business professionals working in our Bradford and London offices are the foundation that keeps all 9,500 of us working towards the same goal.

Our one aim is to bring older people happy living for the years ahead.

## We’re not-for-profit, but what does that actually mean?

Put simply, it means that every penny we make or save is invested in the people who live with us and the people who work here.

It means a better standard of care and customer service. Better wages and more investment in your training and development. And better buildings to live and work in.

But most of all it means that by working here, you’ll be doing things the right way for the right reasons.

## We’re a big company and we’re getting even bigger

You’ll be joining a company with more than 100 care homes and over 1000 housing locations already. But we’re also building and developing many more, including state-of-the-art retirement and care villages.

We’re growing because we believe in what we do and the way we do it. And we want to bring happiness to the lives of as many older people as possible.

## Why is it good to be part of something big?

To keep growing we need a lot more people with the right mix of skills, passion and ambition. So there are plenty of opportunities to join us and an incredible range of careers on offer.

And we’ll always use our resources to help you take the next step and grow the career you want. With the best training and development in the business and nationally recognised qualifications, a career with us can take you a long way. After all, if we hire you and invest in you, we’ll want to keep you.

At Anchor, you can turn care into your career.
