  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day tasks vary ranging from logging tickets and following up on any escalated tickets in the business. Projects that I've worked with include working on analysing incidents that cloud based on infrastructure based, creating dashboards for incidents within the business and doing write ups on consistent incidents - highlighting trends and patterns.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, my technical skillset has improved, specifically in applications such as Excel and Power Bi. I've learnt how to use new applications such as ServiceNow, Jira and Confluence. Soft skills which have been developed have included my presentation skills, communication skills and my teamworking abilities.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme, it has introduced me to a lot in the business. I've met some very senior people who have shared their advice, I've started working in a corporate environment which has many benefits and I'm learning a lot more than I initially expected to.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has been structed well. The induction was really set up, my team has always had something for me to do and we have weekly apprenticeship catchups allowing us to voice our concerns and collaborate with each another again.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a good amount of support from employer when needed. My line manager has been really supportive, always going the extra mile. The apprenticeship provider BPP alongside M&G provide enough support when needed, always ensuring that we don't feel overwhelmed with tasks.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A good amount. Our BPP coach organises monthly meetings for progress reviews which have proven ti be very beneficial.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A lot of the technical terms from the qualification training has given me opportunities to broadcast my knowledge to my team. Business Analyst soft skills such as presentation and collaboration are very helpful when contributing to topics.
