  • Maintaining and Fault Finding on all railway signalling equipment.

  • Yes, the apprenticeship scheme developed and taught me many new skills which I put to use regularly in the workplace.

  • Overall it was very good with some negatives however.

  • On a lower level and by my immediate managers, very. But the very up the chain you look, the less valued I feel.

  • Very well. First Year requires some ammendments howeer.

  • As much as you needed.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • It covers the costs for myself fairly. An increase would be welcome so that young people can try to build for the future as well as afford to live.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Apprenticeship scheme offers you all the training you need. There is good job security and plenty future opportunities.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Network Rail?
  • Keep your head down and work hard. In Years 2 and 3, get the reports done ASAP and then you will feel the benefits towards the end of the scheme.
