  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role is recovery coordinator in the damage recovery unit at enterprise rent a car. we recover the damage costs from repairing our vehicles and I have a team of 6 staff that recover this month. we speak with customers, corporate accounts, insurance companies and third parties in relation to the payment of repair costs. I am responsible for motivating and guiding the team to collect the outstanding money in their Accounts receivable runs. on a daily basis I will review damage claims and ensure that we are recovering money that is outstanding and review processes and individual claims.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a wide range of skills including negotiation, having difficult conversations, management, delegation. I have taken on a lot since joining enterprise rent a car in the past four years having completed three separate nvq's.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the team that I work on and the company's culture greatly. the role constantly changes and the variation is what I enjoy the most. I enjoyed completing the nvq and was relevant to the work I was completing.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Enterprise Mobility?
  • I feel very valued by ERAC. I have been lucky enough to join as an apprentice and move into another department so quickly. I was also given the opportunity to complete a management training programme which has boosted me up the company learning so many new skills and being exposed to more experience.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very structured and we have a one to one meeting with the teacher every 5/6 weeks which works well. Homework is given and all of the studying, support and modules are ticked off as and when they are completed. The training and one to ones that they offer benefit your work and show you how to apply it in your own job role.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • The NVQ teachers act as a third party mentor to you whilst you are completing the NVQ. they are aware how the company operates and what is needed to progress in the company and they enjoy getting involved in the career progression part of their role. They are more than happy to help with all general issues as well as help with the NVQ.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We are permitted to have one hour a week to work through our NVQ work and they also allow us to have meetings every month within our daily work day to attend and work on our NVQ.

  • The NVQ is free of charge below L3 with a cost for any higher courses

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are many company events and activities. They have recently set up the AIR@EBS club which organizes different extra curricular activities. There are plenty of charity and voluntary days to get involved in.

  • Yes

  • Enterprise Rent-a-car are a great company to work for that not only believe in their own founding values but will invest time into their employees in order to progress them in their careers.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Enterprise Mobility?
  • Make sure you research the company and have a good idea of what it stands for. I have often heard of people falling at the first hurdle where they have not done enough research. It is important to ensure that you focus on quality customer service as this is the key of ERACs success.
