1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Working within a team, and being given individual responsibilities over the duration of an audit. Client contact and challenging work as you learn more about the job. Exam and study leave with lots of support. Always given sections of audit work to approach with help if needed, working with lots of different clients over different periods of time e.g one week or four weeks.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt lots of new skills especially when talking to clients. I have also learnt technical audit skills with lots of on-going training to keep learning the required skills and gain the required knowledge for qualification

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

The whole experience of joining Deloitte and working in Deloitte is always enjoyable as the people are friendly and everyone is made to feel welcome, making it very easy to ask questions about the work as well as feel comfortable joining in the many events. Buddy groups were provided to help ease everyone in to working life

4. How valued do you feel by Deloitte?

I feel as though Deloitte csare about our development and there are lots of ways to feedback to managers and year group partners to make sure you get the best out of the firm. Within the feedback process I feel that the managers really appreciate your work and always recognise that you are making the effort to develop your learning. Awards are given when you make exceptional contributions

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

The induction was really great, as we met all school leavers from the UK and spent two days learning about Deloitte and getting to know our roles and the people we would be working with. Study support is always available and the structure takes the pressure off of the exams which helps to progress in work. The buddy system works really well and is really well organised

6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?

Kaplan gives support from the moment you start the course up until the morning of the exam with strong communication and links with Deloitte to ensure that the programme is working well for everyone. College is enjoyable but intense, so having good tutors is always important

6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?

Professional education team are always responsive to any queries and we also have designated managers for training and education that are able to help out when needed. Very accessible support and without having a formal mentor, every single manager you work with is willing to help you through any issues

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

Living and working in London, costs are met by the salary and whenever extra travel is undertaken this can be claimed back from the Employer. The benefits of extra holiday is so useful when you are used to having long school summer holidays

8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?

There are lots of company events mainly for charity that are always really sociable and fun, my favourite being the pub quiz. There are lots of groups to join such as sports teams and new opportunities are always coming up. When not working (or studying) department meetings followed by drinks are always lively

9a. Would you recommend Deloitte to a friend? *

9b. Why? *

It is a great place to work with great people. There is a very rewarding culture and whenever you feel that you need help, someone has probably already offered! You get to travel and meet new people all the time, expand your network and learn 'your trade' while enjoying the social aspects.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte? *

Really consider how you want to come across on your application, as Deloitte are really interested in your personality and how you would fit in with the rest of the firm especially as you have to work a lot with clients on a daily basis. For interviews try not to be nervous and make the most of meeting other applicants and learning from them
