I am a Project Management apprentice within Fujitsu and I already own responsibility to a few processes, some being daily tasks and some being completed every month.
So far we haven't started our course yet but we are choosing slightly harder modules so we will certainly be learning new skills, honing existing skills and using them to pass this NVQ qualification. I've learnt how a big enterprise works, how different teams work together within it
Fujitsu far exceeded my expectations as a whole. Everyone here has a sense of humor, is hard working, helpful and approachable and just generally the atmosphere in the office is comfortable and welcoming.
Lots of people, not just my manager, have given constructive criticism to help my development and also very positive feedback - even from people who I thought wouldn't give any feedback!
N/A, we haven't started the course yet but we have chosen modules and hope to start them in the next couple of weeks.
I hadn't really got much support off my direct advisor that I was taking over as he had to move on with the graduate scheme to a different location (still within Fujitsu) through no fault of his own. However, I was able to send a few e-mails and have a few phone calls to him but I also had the rest of the team to help me through problems if I had any!
My manager is busy but always has time for me. If I have a problem and ask then most of the time more than one person will try and help.
More than enough as I am still living at home and live quite close to work.
From what I have heard there are many company events going on yearly, some being very physically demanding like cycling 500 miles over 5 days for SAFFA, sailing for Toe in the Water, climbing the tower in London. I will be taking part in these when they next come round!
Yes
Best opportunity to meet new people and develop or gain skills. This is the best headstart to a life career. Working atmosphere is great. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Fujitsu want the best out of you.
Plan for the interview as they do ask lots of relevant questions. Dress smart, be polite, be talkative, be enthusiastic and smile a lot! It may seem obvious but it pays off in Fujitsu, people will notice and will help you and want you to suceed. You definitely get out what you put in here.
