My role within fujitsu is a technician role, I help to manage three domanis within the business. I am currently working on a new project called App-V which involves working with SCCM.
I have learnt a lot of new skills, expecially within the App-V project as working with SCCM was all new to me. I have also been on trainig cources to help me develop my skills.
I thouroughly enjoy my programme, I enjoy working with my team as they are all available to assist me if I need help and eveyone is easy to get along with. The work that I am doing really appeals to me and I am always motivated when I come into work.
I feel a very valued member of Fujitsu, in regards to internal recognition I fell a valuable member of my team and am given regular updates from manages regarding my proggress. Recently I went on a 3 week visit to Birmingham in which i assisted on the Fujitsu Post Office account. I recieved very good feedback from my manager and felt valued.
I think that my programme is structued in a good manner and that I have had a lot of support since I started. When I first started at the company I was given an induction and a lot of training and support to help with my development. I also have one day a week at a local college where I study which runs alongside my day job. I have regular meeting with practice managers to evaluate my development and get set targets for the future. There is also a mentor system in which we are given an experienced member of the team who support us and help us to develop.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider, we are able to contact them when we are not at college and if we have any issues they are easy to contact. I enjoy the units that we are learning at college and think that they help me to develop in my day job.
I have a lot of support from my employer, everyone in my team are willing to help if I have problems and the mentor scheme is also very useful. My manager is always willing to give more or less work depending on how I am dealing with it.
I think that my salary is good for an apprentive. It covers my living and travel costs and also have money leftover for social costs. The location is also good becuase I do not have far to travel.
There are a lot of opportunities outside of work, the apprentices have a lot of opportunities to take part in voulantary initiatives and get a lot of recognition for this.
Yes
Fujitsu is a great oppertunity to get into the IT line of work, they also offer a good salary and are always willing to help with any issues you may have.
I would advice others to ensure that in your interview you show a willingness to learn as this is something that Fujitsu value in someone, also that you have a good work ethic and can work hard and under pressure.
