  • Training to become an Application Developer using Java, XML and xQuery code to maintain two resilient foreign exchange payment applications.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Every extent. For me, this is the perfect start to your career. Getting hands on experience of what its like to work for such a successful, world wide firm is priceless. My colleagues are understanding of my position and do everything they can to keep me up to speed with work.

  • As valued as any other member of my team. Here, even if they know I'm an apprentice, people treat me equally and dont belittle me just because I'm a new starter.

  • Very well. The balance between work and study is just about right to be acheivable yet still challenging.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Lots. They are always around to answer questions or queries that we may have. They offer us as much help as they possibly can.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • All the support I need. If I need help, I know that someone can help me through it. If I have questions, I know that someone can answer them. Everyone is here to help me and support me through the apprenticeship.

  • Very well. I can't complain..!

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes, there are several sports groups and BRG's around to offer extra. You can develop your networking group and meet people all across the site.

  • Yes

  • It's the perfect way to start your career. Hands on experience, learning and you're getting paid! Everyone here is so supporting too, they will help you reach your potential.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to J.P. Morgan?
  • Be yourself. JP Morgan is one of the only firms to take a look at you as a person as opposed to just how you come across on paper. Be eager, volatile and determined to succeed and experience what it's like to work for such an established firm. We want what you're made of.
