I have learnt that other peoples opinions my differ from mine but I have been able to listen and absorb them and also get my point across . I have become able to listen intently and process without bias .Pushed myself to get a better understanding of how our systems work and use tools to improve these
To start with I found it daunting and was out of my depth as my understanding of the course was limited .But with the help of my mentors they helped me to understand and grasp the concepts of what was being taught and gave me the tools and confidence to finish the course
At the start of the programme which was classroom based i enjoyed the work but when covid kicked in and we went viral it all changed as I need classroom based learning to better achieve and understand due to discussions and other people input .With the webinars it was all very short glossing over the course and expecting us to understand without actually having a trainer to talk to
To start with my old BM gave me no support it wasnt until I moved depot that the support was put in place and my new BM gave me the time and support to get on with it .My mentor also had the correct way helping me learn and explain what I needed to do
To begin with I had no mentor for the first 5 months as no mentor was assigned to me so I struggles with my learning .During Covid I had a mentor who pushed me and explained to me what I needed to do and guided me through the processes to be able to complete
It has given me more confidence in my own abilities that I already had and has shown me other ways of working to enable me to complete day to day tasks and understand and break down more complicated tasks . I have learnt to delegate which is something I do not like to do .
This is not something that we get involved in in great numbers ,we keep ourselves very separated from work and social unless it is a branch training with an external supplier we never really have social gatherings outside of work apart from these and Christmas meals and even ten not everyone goes
