• 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to support several Regional Directors and their teams. This may be in organising events, looking after calendar or HR support. I need to have full knowledge of all of our many dated systems to help support others through them.


  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my communication skills. I now confidently contact more people throughout the company and take part in google meets with less dread.


  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoyed most of my programme. It meant I learnt new things and always had a new subject to discuss with new people.


  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Initially it was not well organised or structured at all. But this changed and all became much clearer.


  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received a lot of support from my employer.


  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I had more than one trainer and I received as much support as they could give me. It seems they had large teams to look after. My second tutor was helpful and their for advice when needed.


  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Learning this qualification has helped me perform better by giving me more confidence and knowledge within my role.


  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No.


  • 9a. Would you recommend Travis Perkins Plc to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • This would depend on which area of the business or which branch I was recommending. As we are a large company there are many branches that I would strongly recommend you work for as they look after their staff. Other areas of the company are different.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Travis Perkins Plc?
  • This would depend which job they were applying for. Be friendly, open to change and always ask for help if you need it.
