  • My main role is software testing. I work in teams to test software for clients.

  • I enjoy the programme a lot, it is a good balance between work and study and all the people involved in the apprenticeship programme are very helpful.

  • Very well organised, everything is clear and easy to understand, there is always help when it's needed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A lot of support. The employer is always willing to give time off for studies as well as any personal matters, the employer is also very helpful in resolving any issues with the education provider.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot of support. The university is always willing to help when it's needed, we re assigned a university mentor who is responsible for helping out with any issues including personal ones that interfere with studies.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification gives a valuable overview of IT, its different sectors and the processes involved. Even though the course doesn't directly teach me things about my role it does help me understand the functions of IT in the company better.

  • There are: courses, social events (social drinks, golf, quizzes) from both the projects we work on as well as areas of business we're a part of, a sports group, opportunity to participate in corporate games.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It's a wonderful company that treats its employees very well, everyone in it feels respected and valued regardless of seniority level or qualifications.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • Try demonstrate teamwork and good communication skills, in the assessment centres try to work well with other applicants and be open and honest. Even if you're really nervous that will not put you at a disadvantage.
