  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My day to day job entails account manager duties such as organising customer meetings, both virtual and face to face, updating customer notes on our data base, cold calling customers and bringing new business to the company, as well as apprenticeship tasks such as projects, assignments, timesheets for of the job learning and online courses. Other admin and adhoc tasks a swell such as clearing emails and organising notes.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When I first started my programme was very organised and I had a clear understanding of the path that I am about to take, the induction was good, however learning was very rushed. The support I have received throughout this apprenticeship has been unreal, all colleagues from mangers to peers have helped me along the way.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Softcat to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Softcat is a great company to work for with a fantastic culture, they are welcoming and all together inviting, you meet great people to work and socialise with. Softcat is an amazing opportunity to boost your sales career and learn from the best, with many resources all around you, the office is a good learning environment.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Softcat?
  • In all honesty I found the interview process very different to any other jobs I had previously had, the structure is really well laid out and in order to be successful you most definitely have to do your research before hand, as there are some pretty tough questions in the mix, the onboarding process is really smooth and you will get to do a meet and greet with your team members before you join, the experience and opportunities given are countless and in order to succeed you will have to put in your all and a LOT of hard work :)
