My role at Travis Perkins is working in the apprenticeship team. I help the coaches enroll learners onto apprenticeships and gather all of the documentation required to do so. As well as this I help with the admin for the learning support provisions we have.
I have learnt recruitment skills, these include having the confidence to call people over the phone and ask for their documents we require. As well as this I can use our online systems, including maytas, google sheets and google drives
I do enjoy my programme a lot, however I feel that trying to balance the work load along side my job role is difficult. I do find myself panicking about my apprenticeship work and getting it done
I have not found the structure of my programme is cause any difficulties to me. It is easy to read and to find the content I need for each module
I received an amazing amount of support. I recently bought up the fact I was struggling with my workload along side moving into a different job-role and my coach was amazing and supported me with additional meetings and ensuring everyone knew I needed the time to do my work
The support from my training provider is also really good. I do think it would be useful to allow allocated time to complete the apprenticeship work so that other colleagues can ensure they do not book in time to my diary.
A lot of my programme work is not directly linked to the job role I currently do, however the module's still give me a good insight into different areas of the business
I am not aware of any extra-curricular activities. As we work from home these would be difficult to organise.
Yes
I have never felt so supported and comfortable working for a team before. I never get judged for my work or personal life, which I be I believe is so important when working in a team.
Be yourself!
