I work in the office design team which deals with creating detailed network designs that are used to install or change networks within a business' building
I have learnt alot of new skills from the internal training courses offered by Fujitsu and also from the external courses offered at the college I attend to work towards my qualification. As well as that I have learnt alot of microsoft office skills from working with it and my team also offering alot of their expertise to help the day to day work go alot smoother from some useful tips that they have picked up from working with office.
The team that I currently work with are very enjoyable to be around and the general atmosphere in the office is welcoming. The work can be a mixed bag sometimes. Some times you can be doing the same thing for a couple of days and other times you are doing really varied and challenging work
I feel very valused by Fujitsu. The company as a whole seems to put alot of care & effort into the apprentice program.
From starting my apprenticeship I was enrolled onto the supporting college course within the first two weeks. There are also quarterly meeting with all of the local apprentices to allow for the apprentice co-ordinator to let us know how Fujitsu apprenticeships are going across the country
The college that I attend seems to the very experianced with training older students. On a college day the tutor is very informative and will take a small portion of the day to teach some important fundamantals to break the day up.
Work is very understanding that completeing the qualification portion of my apprenticeship is very important. 1 and a half days a week are allocated to any activities that are needed to be undertaken
Fujitsu strives to pay their apprentices very well. Which does show when it comes to monthly out goings. Since I started I have learnt to drive and can comfortably pay rent, utilities and keep my car on the road whilst still having some pay left over.
There are alot of opportunities to volunteer for both inside and outside of work time. Working for Fujitsu also means that some Gyms and other leisure centres will give you a preferential rate.
Yes
Fujitsu's apprenticships are a great way to get a foot in the door of employment. You will earn whilst you learn and gain invaluable experiance. Fujistu also has a policy that if you finish the qualificaiton side of the apprenticeship you will be offered a job in the company
