  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is an Apprentice Complaint Handler. Day-to-day this involves a variety of different things, but in a nutshell, my role is to take ownership of a complaint that relates to a packaged bank account, investigate the claim and determine whether or not the customer has a valid claim. This process will involve calling the customer to gather more information in order to assist with the claim.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've definitely learned new skills in that I had no previous experience in speaking to customers on the phone and so I had to learn the correct process in doing this. It's something I didn't have any confidence in before I started the job. I've also had to become more organised as I can be working several cases at a time.
