  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a member of a team which provides application support. I am a fully participating member of my team. My roles include basic admin actions along with app support including updating tables and problem solving. We work with SQL using SSIS packages to run reports; we manage apps with front end web pages and back end databases so our daily tasks include managing both these systems.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have completed 6 MTAs since I started; WE are in the middle of implementing LEAN training for our team. I have learned to work with SQL, SSIS packages, Visual studio, HTML and other technologies. Most of the applications are custom internal apps so they have various technologies and I have become comfortable with them all so far.
