I am currently working as an SAP Service Delivery Manager, so my day to day tasks vary dependant on the demand from the customer. I will have constant interaction with the team that work on the account and complete the requests, this is where I would intervene and interact with the customer to manage expectations and ensrue we are providing a quality service.
I have and I am still learning about SAP and what it can offer customers and internally. I have also achieved level 3 and 4 Business Administation (BTEC/NVQ) which has strengthened my CV and understanding on business situations. I have also completed internal training courses such as sense and respond, along with external courses such as ISO/IEC 20000.
The work was managable during both levels of qualification, however I feel it could have varied (perhaps provide a presentation to your college representative) which would have expanded my experience for later work life. However this being said I did enjoy the topics I covered and it gave me a better understanding into business situations from what I learnt at school.
As I have now completed my apprenticeship and I have been kept on as a perminant member of staff I feel very valued. I am constantly being recognised for my efforts whether that be by people I work with on a day to day basis or higher memebers of the company, which is quite refreshing that they take the time to listen and really value everyones opinion/ideas.
The programme was very well organised, I was very impressed with how easy Telford College's online learning assistant was to use and how helpful it was when needing to contact and instructor or submit work.
My training provider was always availiable when needed, whether this be by phone, email or through the previously mentioned learning assistant. Along with this they were always happy to help and provide mentoring when stuck and went the extra mile to help explain and fulfil what was needed for a specific task.
My employer was always there for me to have my work checked, or even if I had tight deadlines they allowed me to go and finish my work in a quiet environment and not be disturbed.
During the apprenticeship compared to others I feel the wage was very fair, however since coming off the apprenticeship scheme I feel there could have been more of a wage increase.
There are always events happening within Fujitsu, whether during work or after. Along with this I have organised events during my time as an apprentice which shows the great support you have from HR/Facilities and the wider Fujitsu community.
