  • Personal brand is important, teamwork and communication skills

  • I really enjoyed meeting other people and getting an insight into the company. It was really helpful and cleared up any questions I had.

  • Very well organised, there was a schedule sent out before and we were told what was next from the staff. If I had any questions I knew I could contact the early in careers team to help.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I already had done some research before but after, I really liked the company and I am keen to work there. Talking to the other apprentices really helped.

  • 6. How much did your virtual experience help you in deciding on your future career path?
  • It helped me realise the different pathways. Although they don’t offer an apprenticeship in the stream I am interested in, I believe that the stream I am on could help me get there in the future. I understand now what I want to do.

  • Yes definitely. During the networking session, group project, interview, buddies, social activity and group sessions.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I really liked the company and the people that work there. They seem to value employees and they provide an excellent service to clients. It’s a growing company and it is doing really well.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BDO?
  • Be yourself. Ask questions if you need to. Make sure you get a deep insight and understanding of the company to make sure you would be happy there and think about the long term as well.
