  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I manage the day-to-day activities of the service, ensure that all the needs of our customers are met, Regular supervision with staff, manage the budget, send report to the our commissioners, ensure customers attend their appointments such as medication review, CPA, GP and complied with their prescribed medication. Ensure the safety of customers and staff.

  • Very interesting, very relevant to my job role. It is educative and informative.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well structured, we have training at designated times with the support of a trainer. Meetings are set up with my Performance coach to ascertain understanding of the course units with assignments given. Action plans with deadlines are set, all task delegations a completed and sent to the performance coach to look at. Feedback is also given.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive extreme support from my line manager. She meets with me on a regular basis to check in with me and see how I am coping with the course. My manager helps to provide guidance to problems, this include assisting with action plans for assignment submissions.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My performance coach has been a role model and a good disseminator of knowledge as I have been able to acquire relevant knowledge that has improved my relationships with staff, customers, our commissioners and stakeholders. Furthermore, his feedback has been enlightening and has helped me to appreciate the virtues involve in coaching/mentoring.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • All the course units have been relevant to my job role as they have allowed me to become a better forward thinker, have excellent partnership working with our stakeholders and has enabled me to become a coach / mentor to member of staff in my service.

  • Yes. I do attend company events such as staff well being event and go to the gym.

  • I will recommend this company to a friend or family member because the program allows you to gain insight and knowledge into management as well as being a top flyer leader.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Look Ahead Care, Support and Housing?
  • To ensure that their today is always better than their yesterday, they are determined, resilient and provide themselves with organised times and plans to ensure they are on top of their course work, Furthermore, they need to find a balance between their workload and the course units.
