  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Its am amazing opportunity to gain a degree with 3 years of in industry experience. The first year we are able to learn, shadows and experience how the business works. Through rotations we are give the ability to choose where we are most aligned to the business and a role that we enjoy. This can be anywhere from deep technical roles, engineering, cloud, data centres to sales and marketing.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I know how to use multiple technical tools and have credited CCNA and many other certificates. Given the chance to develop my communication skills.

  • We are given lots of support along the journey and advice.

  • Very well, there is always a rotation available and a support team.

  • Plenty of support as well as in business mentors.

  • Very good they always respond to emails and questions in training. As well mark drafts.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Very much so, learning and applying my role to what is taught in the course.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • During lock down this has been virtually impossible, However in other times we do fund raisers and we did our fair share of those during lockdown. Lots of bonding and all for a good cause.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Cisco to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • If you are passionate about technology and are not intimidated by the size of the company Cisco is a great place to work and get involved. You are given the opportunity to grow and show your potential.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cisco?
  • Make sure you are prepared and know facts about the company it shows you are interested and did a little homework. Goes a long way!
