My rome within the apprenticeship was to provide maintenance of the T2 Hawk Ejection Seat. It involves removin, maintaining, testing and installing various components.
I developed a variety of hand skills whilst taking part in this apprenticeship. Also developed knowled of how the Ejection seat works.
I enjoyed the hands on aspects of the Apprenticeship. Although I was a AV/Elect by trade I would’ve liked to have more experience with that side of the job.
The programme is very well structured.
I am Happy with the level of support we had. Very quick and easy to help if you had any problems.
The level of support recieved from the training provider was of a very high level.
The qualifications helps tremendously because it give you the knowledge you need to understand the job.
Unfortunately due to Covid-19, no. But after talking to past apprentices it seems that there are a number of activites they took part in through the company.
Yes
The reason i would recommend Babcok to my friends is becuase of the work that you get to do. The work is interesting and ‘cool’. Not every day you get to say that you have worked on fast jets ejection seats.
Ask questions, get as much hands on as you can get, enjoy the environment and work hard.
