  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day-to-day roles vary depending on the project that you're assigned to. My current day involves starting off with a daily stand up meeting to raise any concerns and delegate tasks. These usually involve things such as bug fixes and testing.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During boot camp, I was able to learn a lot of programming skills. Since starting on project I have been able to put these skills in to practice and have learnt a lot about how large-scale projects work. There are always opportunities to attend courses to develop skills further.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The apprentice programme is very exciting. The programme evolves based on the feedback from apprentices and has recently changed to spread the work load. I love my day job and have the opportunities here to learn all that I want.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Capgemini?
  • Extremely. I feel like I have become part of a community; both and apprentice and company wide. It is easy to get rewarded and recognised when the hard work is put in.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprentice programme has recently been restructured but we have always been informed of the changes, all of which are beneficial to us.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Our training is provided externally, but I meet my assessor regularly where we can discuss progress and the work that needs to be undertaken.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We receive lots of employer support. Project managers are keen to help us develop as well as people higher up in the company. The apprentice programme is well known throughout the company which means everyone is always keen to help out.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • We receive excellent salaries for apprentices and the framework for progression is second-to-none

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are lots of opportunities to get involved with external events. I have attended hackathons supported by Capgemini and I'm also involved with one of the local charities.

  • 9. Would you recommend Capgemini to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have learnt more here than when I attended university. The work is hard but it's also very rewarding and I look forward to coming to work every day.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Have an interest in technology. Nothing can beat a genuine love of the subject and willingness to learn about it.
