  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am the first hybrid role within procurement, I am a hardware and software buyer who efficiently places order for sales. I work closely with vendors and distributions to ensure orders are processed correctly and are shipped in time ready for the customers to recieve. I show strong attention to detail when placing orders.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My attention to detail has improved massively as I need to check the price, disti alignment, quantity, notes, etc. So has my communication skills, I am always engaging in calls with either disti or sales to resolve any matters that may arise. It has given me the chance to improve my presentation skill, I present to sales for training on what our team do and how we can help them.

  • I very much enjoy my program even though the whole of it has been within a virtual environment I have still engaged and learnt so much by being an employee at softcat. I have taken part in a remit apprenticeship with another employer but it was nowhere as good when in comparison to sofcat's delivery.
