  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves printing out the inpatient list in a morning, going up to the wards to support our patients and co-ordinating care with the registered nurse, working in a multi disaplinary team and feeding back any problems to my line manager/matron in learning disabilities. Its also about making sure hospital passports are filled in so staff know how best to support that patient and making sure our patients are not disadvantaged in any way and reasonable adjustments are made to there care and treatment

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed the programme because i am now able to complete more clinical skills. It has made me less judgemental and has taught me to look at the bigger picture, such as health inequalities and that sometimes people don't always chose to be in a situation there put in. My knowledge is now based around evidence based practice, rather than my own personal views.
