  • I am a software engineer, I am currently implementing changes to a current system which enables business' to report their accounting information in a more defined way.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt many new skills and technologies including: PL/SQL, SQL, Java, XML, XBRL, Unix and more.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme greatly, I am able to learn new skills frequently and also gain my degree whilst having job experience

  • I feel valued because I am given high responsibility for tasks that usually require a more experienced person

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured. I have my QA reviewer come to visit every 6 weeks where he will assign me new tasks to complete. The degree will then start next year

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I recieve a great deal of support especially when i have a question, i just email my reviewer and he is quick to reply.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive as i am always encouraged to attend training courses and have been given frameworks to show me my progress that is expected over the 5 year programme.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary is very good considering my age however can sometimes not be enough for my costs. I think that the older higher apprentices should have a higher package due to the likelihood of more outgoings each month.

  • Yes we regularly have outside events where people from work will participate such as football

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have already recommended Capgemini to a friend who has now started work for us. It is a brilliant scheme for young people to get on to without the need to go to university.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Maintain a professional attitude throughout your career and it will always pay off
