  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day to day I manufacture the good for Pfizer's clinical trials globally through a range of different manufacturing techniques operating very specialist equipment.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed a lot of new skills during my course, the biggest thing for me is I really developed my confidence and ability to speak to crowds of people and explain my view point. I have also learn't many manufacturing related skills within the workplace.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am really enjoying the programme i am on and currently looking to try and continue to develop further in this role after the programme end date.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think the programme is relatively well structured. With anything, there is room for improvements and the course relies on the individual having lots of common sense and the ability to take control of the course and tailor it best to themselves

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive and offers a great range of help. I have bi-weekly meetings to review progress and evaluate tasks and when I first started they had set-up a mentor to aid the start of my programme.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • To start with, my training provider lacked giving the support I needed, they didn't communicate with me very well but once I started my course they were extremely supportive and have provided me with everything and more that I could need.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the qualification I am studying towards isn't very relevant to my job role. I feel it is hard to relate the work I study towards to my job role and that the course is better suited to Lab techs as opposed to the SMT like me.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Pfizer is a great workplace that is very supportive of its staff. The values of the company make it easy to progress and they really value their staff. I a brilliant company to work for.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pfizer?
  • To think carefully about the job role they are applying for to make sure it is tailored to what they want, but once you are in the company it is easier to transfer roles.
