  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning new skills, and adapting to a large amount of different situations. It can be difficult at times due to covid, but most people try their best in making it a more enjoyable experience for us. When we are out with an engineer I enjoy meeting/dealing with customers

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is not structured in the best way, especially at the beginning when we first started. The way things have chopped and changed have not been the best but the program itself is Good. We have fell behind at times partially due to the poor structure of the apprenticeship program

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive plenty of support from my manager, apprenticeship colleagues and and my trainer. But centrica/british gas higher ups have really poor support and communication to our lower down employees such as the engineers and us apprentices. But like I said the support from my immediate colleagues has been great

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I don't receive loads of support as it is classed as a self led course but when needed there is a Good amount of people willing to help and support us as apprenticeship in developing our knowledge and experience base in learning a brand new job role and company

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification itself has helped to improve and prepare us for our job role as I previously had no experience in a similar job role. So when I get this training from the trainers in there it will be Good for helping me perform better in my new job role

    10/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are zero extra curricular activities In this role, no social activities, no sports teams to take part in, and there isn't even any professional networking events to help socialise in the aspect of meeting all the other colleagues including all the other engineers and apprentices that I work with

    1/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Centrica to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • Due to current situation it is a very difficult job role to learn from scratch. And also with the new terms and conditions it has made the job role less reliable. In the future I see the job becoming alot better and slot more enjoyable in more aspects like it was

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Centrica?
  • I would advise them that although it may be worth it in the future right now it is a very difficult new job role to learn and although I myself wouldn't do it differently it is a very big decision to make to commit yourself to the company so.
