  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is to support internal and external manufacturing sites in regards to quality control. This includes policy compliance, special situation management, continuous improvement, key performance indicator tracking, new product development projects and many more topics. I also support category and regional projects as a representative for my team.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Throughout my career at Mondelez International I have had many opportunities to develop both professionally and personally. This includes many opportunities to develop skills through specific work tasks or trainings. The business offers many internal training courses and also provides external training for specific topics.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am currently thoroughly enjoying my programme. It's a great feeling when the company you work for is commited to your development and gives you the opportunity to do so. The topics in the programme are relatable to the work environment, which really helps.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of the programme has been outlined since enrolling, which has given clarity on the topics we will cover and the evidence that will need to be provided to meet the apprenticeship standard. During COVID we have not been able to attend on site study weeks, but alternative virtual study weeks have been provided.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Internally we have regular mentor and management reviews to track progress and look for opportunities that Mondelez can support further. Reviews of the apprenticeship standard are also done to look for projects that could cover specific learning requirements. Mondelez offers 20% of the role to cover these learnings.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The university have allocated us a mentor who is always available to discuss topics with and offer support and guidance when working towards the degree and apprenticeship. Also, when finding topics difficult the university have put in additional support sessions to re-cover topics in more detail which has been really helpful.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that going through the qualification has increased by general knowledge around the industry and its practices, which has been helpful and allows me to understand scenarios better and put them into context. Some specific modules have give me more confidence to cover them in discussions with other colleagues.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Mondelez has been really good in offering different extra-curricular activities. This could be from opportunities to do volunteer work or help push for supporting charities. Additionally, the company holds career development workshops, career talks with senior leaders and many other activities.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I really do think Mondelez is a great place to work. I have developed massively over the 10 years that I have been with the company and had the opportunities to better myself academically and opportunities to work on some big projects and visit different industries around the world.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mondelez?
  • Mondelez covers many different brands and operates globally. I think when applying for a role its great to research the company and understand the core principles & values that the company has and see how you can play a part of that. Also look at the requirements for the role and cover how you meet those with qualifications or experience.
