I minute corporate and subcommittee meetings, paying extra attention to any escalations that will need to be passed on to board meetings. I collate papers from service lines and departments within Solent into an Agenda for all Performance Review Meetings, and I email these out to all key attendees. I organise and prioritise meetings in managers calendars too.
I have learnt new skills and systems, these being a range of Microsoft Packages as well as internal and external information around Solent Teams. I have greater confidence now by talking in a professional manner over the telephone and via emails.
I have never done an administration role before, I have always been an active and sporty person. I am loving the programme and always learning something new with pathways leading to varied careers. The team I work with are very switched on and they know their roles and how to help me achieve more day to day.
The programme is very well structured - allowing us to work to deadlines that suits us individually to coincide with our main roles and jobs. Inductions were clear and we knew what was expected of us and how to use One File. The support is phenomenal, always someone around to help
My employer gives me great support and is always on hand to help if required, giving me time to complete my work or 20% off the job and they recommend people for me to shadow.
My tutor is very supportive, without her I wouldn't be as far along into my apprenticeship that I am today. She is there on Skype, Zoom Meetings and emails whenever I need her to answer all my questions big or small.
It has given me a range of strategies to try within my role that I never would have thought about using before. I feel as though since doing my apprenticeship, that I have learnt a lot more detail about Solent as a Trust: The team, the structures, the hierarchies, the stakeholders and more.
We always have Team Away Days, these are where the whole team goes away for a day to do some team building, get to know each other more and build better relationships. We have social events (pre-covid) on the weekends where we would be for a get together and food.

It is a great place to work with exciting opportunities around you and different pathways that you can go down. The apprenticeships are fab to expand your knowledge and follow your dreams.
Go for it! Take your time with the application process, give a couple of reasons per attribute they are looking for in a person as to why you would be best suited. Look into the trusts values and what the trust is about to have great knowledge before your interview.
