  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a store manager and every day I go to work and work hard with my colleagues. I always motivate each of my colleagues to work harder and harder every day. I am also doing an apprenticeship and this helps me with more knowledge about Co-op. I love to go to work because it gives me a good mindset.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes. I have learnt many skills and have improved my knowledge about treating each others and working together as I am doing an apprenticeship. I also do a few tasks and objectives every day so this also helps me know more about Co-op and what I am doing while working.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it a lot because it is very fun and exciting. It was amazing when we got to see each other and talk to each other and have a fun time. Even during COVID there are still meetings on Microsoft Teams and I find that very useful and helpful.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very nicely organised. This is because we had many meetings in London and it was very good. Also during COVID the organisers sent me an email that we are going to do online lessons which was very comfortable. We had a few online lessons and it was very smooth.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support. This is because if there is any problem they send me an email straight away or give me a phone call which is good. They also send letters and emails for an important information or just regular messages which I think is very nice.

  • I receive enormous amounts of support from my training provider. We also have meetings every week on Fridays where we talk about English, maths, grammar and many other things. He always sets me new tasks and assignments and he has helped me so much in improving my knowledge about Co-op.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have learnt about diversity and to respect every race and religion which I always do. We learn so many things together and this helps me work better as I have more knowledge. I am very thankful for my training provider because I think I have improved a lot at work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have supported many charities and have collected a lot of money for charities too. Anyone can join this and help/support these organisations if they wish. Also there is a coop member ship and anyone can join after paying £1 and this gives them offers of other products and you can save money too.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
