  • My role as a surveyor can involve carrying out valuations, managing properties or lettings dependant on placement department I am in. Generally speaking, meeting tenants or speaking with those in wider CD involving properties and projects is required.

  • My communication skills have enormously improved, presentation skills, team work and overall property knowledge, skills and experience.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am thoroughly enjoying the scheme. The support TFL offers is second to none, I feel well supported by my Line Manager and colleagues in progressing with my Degree and Chartership exams.

  • The scheme is well organised.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive incredible support from both my previous Line Manager, sponsor and current Line Managers. Everyone is really supportive.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel the University support could be improved somewhat however, that is well expected with large Universities.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel the current degree does not provide an accurate representation or correlation in what I do in my day to day job however, TFL are working with us to rectify that.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Transport for London to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • For me, TFL as an Apprentice or Graduate is the best place to be working. Combined with the benefits, the qualifications and education available the support is second to none.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Transport for London?
  • Ensure you learn the TFL competencies well and are truly passionate about your role as some schemes can be over 5 years long.
