Arrive to work and then its like something new everyday which is enjoyable as it means your not doing the same thing on a certain day each week we have btec which is about learning new skills that can help you out in workplace. Consists of fixing things and making things.
I have learnt lots of new skills whilst being at jaguar land rover i have learnt how to weld, make things use different engineering systems as well as being able to use robots i have done loads of different types of training here as well its slow to get into everything at the start but gets better as you go on
I have enjoyed the programme so far as they have offered good training programmes which have been enjoyable i haven't really had any bad experiences as of yet so its been fun meeting new people as well making new friends i would probably recommend this apprenticeship to others as its good
The induction was well organised as i knew where to go and be straight away the training at college was good however they missed a few units of our course, the support offered is there if you need it tasks are always given to you so you always have something new to do
You receive a lot of help fro the mentors as its small groups you are put in so you can get some really good mentoring from them as its basically one on one the managers are sometimes hard to get in contact with but thats expected as they can be busy the ITMs at work are great though
with covid at the moment sometimes communication can be hard but you do get the information you need in the end it can just take time sometimes, it is easy to find ways you can be supported as you are told who you can contact if you need any help
Yes the learning helps me in my day to day life i learn a lot about the cars and how they work so when i work on my own on the weekend i have skills i have learnt in the work place as well as the ones from college like welding and things like filing correctly
I know there are loads of different company events and stuff d o after work however with the current situation at the moment with covid 19 alot of that stuff is happening but when its all over it will be back on we have fishing lakes and things like that at solihull as well as a daycare for children
Yes
I would recommend this apprenticeship because there are thousands of pathways you can take and you learn loads of skills as well as this the pay is very good for the apprenticeship, and there are benefits that come with it like ford deals for example, so if you like cars i recommend you get involved
The tests at the start are ok just concentrate be yourself thats the most important thing and show them what you are capable of its about your will to learn thats what they look for, as well as get to know people as well as the company it will help and good luck
