I mainly work in the admin building. On a day to day basis, my tasks include filing QIRs, approving artwork and joining meetings. Otherwise I may be found in the factory observing trials and looking into material quality issues. This has been difficult due to covid.
yes. I have developed my communication skills, and in the 8 months I have been here I have learnt a lot about the manufacturing industry.
I enjoy my programme as the content is interesting, and the people at the company are all very friendly and welcoming.
Mainly, my programme is organised. However, there have been times where I have been slightly left in the dark, but I believe this was mainly due to Covid.
I have a good mentor who is very willing to help, and my HR Representative is always very supportive.
My work based learning coach is very supportive as are my lecturers. However I do find some more supportive than others.
I think over time it will become more clear how the course information links to my job, and I am already making connections between the knowledge I am learning and the tasks I am performing in the work place.
There is a social club which I have not joined. Nothing is happening at the moment due to Covid restrictions which have been in place since I joined in September.
Yes
Friendly working environment, and everyone is willing to help if you are struggling.
