  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work within the Central European Products team as a Systems Design Expert. The role includes development of packaged product solutions for EMIEA regions. It is mainly project based work and we have a range of solutions that require development when new products are released. these solutions need to be tested with the latest and software and developed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Over the course of my apprenticeship I have developed new technical skills such as problem solving and analysis and data science skills including coding in Python. I have also developed more skills in the time management, working individually and as part of a team and also better communication skills with colleagues.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The apprenticeship programme has been been enjoyable and I have learnt new digital skills in data as a result. With Multiverse as the training provider they have been very supportive throughout the scheme. you are assigned a coach who will take you and your cohort through the entire programme and as a result you develop a bond with them.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship has been very well organized between the training provider and Fujitsu. The programme has a set delivery calendar which you are required to attend, you are also expected to perform 20% off the job training every week to support the apprenticeship and what you have learnt from it.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my line manager and the company to be able to complete the apprenticeship and be able to spend my 20% on the job training. we have a quarterly progress reviews with all parties and any issues can be raised with either the employer or the training provider.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Multiverse our training provider is very supportive in getting us through any required qualifications. They provide preparation sessions for any exams we have take on the course and we also have to attend mock end point assessments which prepare us for the real exit interview at the end of the course.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The Data Fellowship course I am attending is providing me with the digital skillset to progress my career. This new skillset helps me in my role to develop better solutions for our customers and remain competitive in the IT Industry. Learning new skills in data means that we are able to save time and make better decisions as result.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Our training provider has a complete community website with all staff members and apprentices across the globe, they invite us to regular webinars, sessions with key leaders in industry and as a result allows you to build a professional network. Our employer also have a good range of communities in Yammer to get involved in.

  • Yes

  • Fujitsu has been a very supportive employer and the people who work in the company are friendly. the company has a focus on employee wellbeing and getting employees engaged in activities and innovation. There are also good career prospects and the ability to develop new skills and go on training as you work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
  • Fujitsu is always looking for talented people and looks to employ apprentices and graduates through various schemes, there are a wide range of opportunities including technical and non-technical roles. If you are able to tailor your CV to the role you applying for and show any experience you may have you will stand a better chance on getting an interview.
