  • Since I started, I have been receiving daily training and gaining knowledge on medical devices and the clinical side of it. The group of apprentices also had the opportunity, to receive training from an outside company called Medical Room, that has provided us with knowledge on Electrical Safety and Infusion Devices which was a great contribution to carry on our daily duties.

  • My Manager [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has been very supportive of my desire to grow as a professional since day one, and that simple factor has helped me not to give up even if my economic side of my life was difficult because of my personal circumstances but not only her but my colleagues in Medical Engineering and the Faraday Building Management was a big inspiration and the unconditional support and encouragement words that I received from them I will never forget and I will always carry it with me.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I live alone and at the moment I work two jobs to be able to pay rent, as the apprenticeship doesn't pay much but in the other hand I did not have any experience or knowledge about Medical Devices and Kings College Hospital has provided me with those while still paying me some money and JOB EXPERIENCE is something you can't buy!

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Since I started the apprentices were invited to take part on careers fairs, at South bank University, Excel London, Southwark careers fair and many other places, where we have the opportunity to tell young people about the opportunities and career prospects of our apprenticeship programme, we also do voluntary work at a local school reading and listening to children read, and its a great way to give back to the community and also it looks good on our CV's.
