  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • On a daily basis I carry out coding, problem solving and development. This includes testing the software that I'm working on. I have to discuss and analyse the project requirements to meet the needs of the customer and therefore create the best solution possible.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The intellectual challenges are a big factor to why I enjoy the program so much. Also completing even just the smallest of tasks can be very rewarding, as well as completing end goals of the project.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well organised, I get the day off work on the Monday to study at University. All of the studies that take place are related to my job role and help me succeed. The mentor system has been helpful, as I've been working at home (pandemic).

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification significantly helps me perform better in my role, because the work I do is very related to Uni work. For example I have been learning the programming language known as Java at University and then C# at work. Both of these are very similar to each other.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

  • 9a. Would you recommend Fujitsu to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The company has a very positive environment in each team. Everyone comes in with a positive attitude and ready to work hard. They pay well and reward you properly for the work you put in. There is plenty of room to move up so work hard!

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fujitsu?
  • When doing the assessment days at Fujitsu make sure you are assertive during all exercises. Don't dwell on any mistakes, instead concentrate on performing well in the next task and lastly make sure you don't worry about the other candidates, and instead focus on putting your key skills forward.
