  • 4. How valued do you feel by Posture People?
  • This is the first time in my career where I have experienced value from my job regardless of whether I have the salary or not. I feel like my work is always recognized and appreciated by both of my directors and my team. I have also had great feedback from external outreach.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We discuss tasks and my employer lets me make them my own. As a slightly more mature apprentice at 23 with a lot of professional experience, I believe this is why I can work so well here. Although it is a busy workplace, I value the time they spend giving me structured feedback and allow me to action my own ideas.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I can't fault the workplace side of things but I do feel like the training by the apprenticeship scheme could be much more challenging and less repetitive. For a scheme that is trying to innovate workplace learning, i believe that their entire system is way to rigid and criteria based.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I live independently and purely off my own wages. In Brighton, costs are staggering and it is hard to live off the salary. My employers are fantastic and sympathetic towards this and I am paid a bit more than the average apprentice but I do feel like they could be supported more to pay me a living wage from the apprenticeship service. Overall I was aware that I would have to take a massive salary cut to become an apprentice, and have learnt that there is a lot more to job satisfaction that the salary.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I am always invited to networking events and supplier tours. We also get along so well that its nice to have a team that you can go out for a drink with.

  • 9. Would you recommend Posture People to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • They really practice what they preach by supplying us with a great office and great workplace culture. Its the first time I have been away from the huge company corporate scene and truly enjoyed my work. They also inspire a great work/life balance and are very supportive of the apprenticeship scheme.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Posture People?
  • Take initiative and learn as many skills as you can independently so you have something new and useful to bring to the team. It really is a fantastic and very hardworking team, so keep in mind that you will need an excellent work ethic.
