  • Running the shop floor ensuring staff are doing the correct jobs, running covid health and safety checklists to ensure safety for staff and customers, completing administrative tasks.

  • i’ve picked up the ability to manage staff, also manage my own time and others to make sure tasks run smoothly and staff get out on time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i enjoy my program, i am trusted by managers to complete tasks to the best of my ability giving me the opportunity to thrive in the workplace

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the aldi structure is good and clear however the training from lifetime is poor, it’s not managed well, meetings are infrequent and not structured, the irregularities with the training mean i am not completing the course as quickly as possible, despite being far ahead inside the workplace

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i receive a great amount of support from the company, when moving store it was dealt with without any stress or hassle for myself and you’re always checked up on from managers and above

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • almost non existent support, i’m left unaware of when i will complete the qualification due to the fact they contact so infrequently

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i don’t believe the training is relevant to my work at all, it’s a very general course which is built up of skills and information i already know from the workplace

  • yes Aldi have many work charity events to get involved with, however due to covid these aren’t going ahead yet but will be in the near future

  • Yes

  • It’s a great opportunity to learn new skills and build yourself as a person, inside the company it is well structured and you’re able to progress through the company if you put the effort in


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aldi?
  • experience in similar roles is important, working in a busy thriving environment you need to be a quick thinker and problem solver, but as long as you have a positive working attitude you will fit in.
