  • My daily role is the project manage key campaigns and projects for the whole group, and as a result required to provide data and report on the return on our investments, campaign outcomes and key metrics on our channels.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to better use Excel, with far more tools that I previously knew. I also have gained exposure to PowerBI which was completely new to me, and a huge benefit to my professional experience.

  • I really enjoy my programme and the programme learning. It is a good mix of self and directed learning

  • It is well structured and organised

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • We are supported but there is a lot of personal ownership to take the 8 hours a week learning time, so you have to be clear to take the time. Overall I think the business see the value in my apprenticeship.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from my tutor, but I think we would benefit if he has fewer students and a bit more time to give each student.

  • I feel it helps me perform well in my role. I feel more confident in reading data and telling a story about the data, and using new tools to understand and visualise the data.

  • No but I know there are options

  • Yes

  • It's a supportive organisation that empowers it's colleagues to invest in their personal development and there's plenty of options for learning, progression and new challenges.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marks & Spencer?
  • Be yourself, research the company and ensure you are aware of the transformational plans of M&S. Be prepared with on the job examples to share.
