  • I carry out test automation activities on a daily basis. • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I definitely enjoy and feel grateful for the opportunities and experience which I have recieved and I wouldn't have chosen a different path. I have found however that, especially since the pandemic, my workload has massively increased and I find myself doing overtime on a daily basis in my job role as well as spending most evenings completing University modules for completing the degree associated with my apprenticeship.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel that the programme has definitely improved its structure since I started it, for example I now have my online webinars during the day rather than in the evenings which has made the day more comfortable for myself. I feel that more could be done however for actively getting apprentices to contribute toward shaping this structure more.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I like how my training provider has adapted to make changes to parts of the programme in the presence of the pandemic, for example converting the standard closed book exams to be 24hour open book assessments which I have found more appropriate and ideal for myself to work around in relation to my personal circumstances.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Definitely, there are plenty of additional activities inside and outside of working hours to do. With my employer, they have an EventHub which is used to organise numerous events across the business from different individuals and speakers on a daily basis. There are also group activities which teams organise together to perform within/outside of work.
