  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • End-to-end processing of the distributions of funds hosted on Fidelity Int.'s Funds Network.

    7/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • The role has helped develop my time management due to the regular crunch times at the end of common distributing periods.

    8/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Having been completely WFH since starting, the early careers team tried really hard to make the induction period enjoyable. But the day-to-day has become lonely and isolating.

    4/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I trust that it is well structured. There are key dates in the future that are overt and create a roadmap to completion.

    9/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from other apprentices, new joiners, and my line manager being so new to the industry. The company itself also provides a lot more support than I had anticipated.

    10/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Can't say I've had much of a conversation with Fitch Learning in terms of support. My workload has been high, but I believe the support to be accessible.

    6/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Perhaps a little bit, but I'm not sure I'm far enough into my qualification to be a good judge of the transitivity of said qualification and my job role.

    5/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, however due to the times we live in; this is entirely online. I look forward to volunteering days after restrictions are eased

    9/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Fidelity International to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The company are employee-driven, they try to accommodate on an individual basis. They take employee concerns seriously and are encouraging at all levels. The work-environment revolves around community and teamwork, and so there will always be support for you somewhere.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Fidelity International?
  • Be honest, speak up, and trust yourself.
