  • Supporting my team (Commercial and Contracts management) with the day to day running and management of the contract. Involves dispute resolution, looking after processes and procedures, assisting internal and external stakeholders etc...

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Currently working towards a professional Commercial and Contract management certification. Have developed many professional skills through exposure to real word business situations i.e. how to manage people, be part of a team. Many personal skills too i.e. confidence and personal presence skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Lucky to have gone into such a welcoming and friendly team, definitely enjoy working with them. Company culture on the whole is great, but like anywhere it can be hard to fit into the culture especially at first. On the whole really enjoy working for the company and enjoy my role!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Seemed very well organised at the start due to the frequency of programme my company does, but a few issues have cropped up during the programme, some of which are expected but other more serious structural issues you would've thought would be sorted out. There can be a lack of communication and knowledge which can leave you feeling like you're going with the flow of the programme without knowing 100% what's happening next.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • From my manager and team I have been lucky to always receive support for the programme and what this includes.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • In general the training provider does try a lot to support us. My personal tutor/adviser definitely helps when it comes to understanding the apprenticeship side of the programme. The university though can be a bit sporadic at times, and rules and views vary quite greatly sometimes depending on the lecturer.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • To an extent it has helped in very specific areas i.e. finance and project management. As a A Level business student I was already familiar with many of the modules so it as just building onto them. Sometimes it does feel like the modules aren't really relevant to my role.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Overall it is a great company to start working for, especially straight from school or even after you gradate. It has the right mix of a professional and people centred culture and environment which teaches you many lifelong skills which will help you greatly in your career, wherever it may be. All the people I have encountered have been friendly and always willing to help, which makes it a great company to kick start your career with.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Do your research on the company as a whole and the specific area you are applying for beforehand. Keep and open mind when it comes to interviews and the onboarding process and be willing to learn from others and not know answers - no one expects you to know everything. I wish I had realised that the company will want to employ and invest in you as a person, so just be yourself and portray your best strengths and be honest about your weaknesses.
