  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Day to day my role involves looking at different cost aspects of the project I am working on. Depending on the stage of the project this will determine the different types of cost I will be looking at. Running packages on the job, ensuring all variations are being priced and all contractors being paid on time.

  • The training programme set out by Mace is really well organised, we have a training schedule sent out to us before the start of the academic calendar that allows us to be prepared for it. • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive massive amounts of support from my employer, my line manager will always help if free or will make time in the diary to go through any questions, issues or problems I have so the support received is very good. Mace also encourage all apprentices to speak to one another to see if anyone else has the same questions and so you dont feel left out.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider do their best to help us, as it is only a day release it can be harder at times to ask all the questions wanted during the lectures as we only have one day allocated to get through all lectures but you are able to email them and ask for help also.
