  • Required to do basic BAU tasks and regularly fix and update systems

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Long Work hours made me struggle to enjoy the program especially when deadlines were close or some thing unexpected happens at work forcing you to do 12hour shifts. Other than that work wasnt too rewarding but that can vary depending on your team and your support system

  • For the first 6 months UBS didnt have a training provider so we were delayed.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • colleagues try to support but they are not the greatest teachers nor do they have the time to teach someone from scratch. So most things are self taught

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • They only support you in your coursework and exams other than that they give you general advice like ask questions

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification itself is great and did relate to what I was doing on a day to day basis so that helped me a lot.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Theres many professional networking events and some events that are mandatory to attend. Apart from that there are many other types of events and volunteering work. (they even give you 2 free days to volunteer at your work place)

  • 9a. Would you recommend UBS to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The pay is very good and if you are already used to self learning the course and work will be fairly easy.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to UBS?
  • Make sure you know what youre getting yourself into as well as know your own strengths and weaknesses so that you can combat it in the future
