  • My role involves dealing with data and using that to create models. From this I am able to analyse the data and how it should correctly be used/processed in order to benefit the bank.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since joining NatWest I have had the opportunity to develop on my critical thinking skills and use them on a daily basis to undertake any new task.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy what I do so far, as it is a new challenge for me working within an area where I had no idea what it would include. Having the chance to interact with so many people who are experts in their work is a pleasure.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is very well structured as you are able to spend a lot of time in the role as well as do work related to the apprenticeship.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has various support that it offers. There are various people which you can speak to regarding different situations and encourage you to always do your best. An example of this would be my line manager, him and myself have weekly 1-2-1 chats regarding my work and offering support if needed.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • So far my training provider has been really helpful in talking documents over to ensure that I understand the criteria and that my work will be to a high standard.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Having various courses related to my role is very beneficial as it will allow me to go into areas in detail and from this can then take the knowledge away and speak to members of my team about what I have learnt and also learn from them.

  • NatWest runs various different events which you can attend

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • From starting my induction week till now everyone has ensured that I understand what I am doing and always offers assistance if I find myself stuck on tasks. Everyone I have spoken to also speaks really highly of the bank as an organisation.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • Do your research regarding the bank and try go that extra mile by showing that you have looked into what the bank looks for in terms of personal qualities. Always back this up with examples of how you achieved goals etc.
