  • My role is to develop new software which the online customer will use.

  • Skills Developed- Team work, Self confidence, Time keeping. Skills learnt- Java, Service designs, working at pace but at a high standard.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my apprenticeship a lot and highly advise anyone who feels university isn't for them to look into an apprenticeship.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Program is fairly well organised, being the first apprentice in my department people meant were unsure on what I was doing and what my apprenticeship was, but once I had explained to them about what my apprenticeship is everything began to run smoothly.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my employer sets up my work around my apprenticeship and set my apprenticeship as the priority and when I need to do apprenticeship work, day to day work goes on hold till my apprenticeship work is complete.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive support from my provider during our catch up meetings but in between meeting it is hard to contact my provider and get a response from them about questions I have.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification will help increase my self confidence in my role. It also helps me preform better as this qualification teaches me crucial skills that I need in my role. the qualification will progress my careers as I become more qualified.

  • None have happened due to working from home and lockdown.

  • Yes

  • Great company, extremely friendly employees, everyone wants you to succeed in your role from the top down, NatWest will do everything they can to make sure your best self comes to work and make sure you can work most effectively while at work.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to NatWest?
  • Be yourself. Don't underestimate yourself. Self belief you are good enough for the role and that you are the candidate the bank needs.
