  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work closely with customer returns each week i go through a batch of customer returns with my boss to get a better understanding of what problems we are having with our products that are being sent back to us i can then plan jobs i have to do for the next week based off of this for example if we get 10 of the same product back with the exact same problem i will probably spend the next week looking into this product doing some tests on it and understand why it is failing in the field.

  • I really enjoy my programme i feel like it is really good for me as most of the time it doesn't feel like a job at all! I really enjoy my day to day work in the facotry i am always learning new things anf i'm never doing the same thing which makes it more enjoyable and i like going to college which gives me a better understanding of engineering as a whole and expands my skillset.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My program is really well structured i feel like i couldn't have been improved upon. From the day i joined i was introduced to everyone and made to feel really welcome to everyone so if i'm ever in need of help i feel like i could have asked anyone from my very first day. Now i have been here a while i feel like I've been taught so much and now i've been given my own responsibilities but the help is there if i need it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • In college i learn a whole variety of engineering and most of it compares so differently to what i do in work however some things have popped up that i have learnt in college about engineering and it's been really good to know it straight away. It also expands my skillset as i know a lot more about engineering that just what i do in my job. I also learn about other things in college such as health and safety

  • 9a. Would you recommend Schneider Electric to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I already have spoken to my friends about my workplace and i can truthfully say i do not have a bad word to say about my work. I enjoy the actual work i do but the help and support i receive and can ask for off of my colleges is amazing and makes working a lot more relaxing and easy knowing if i am ever stuck on anything i can ask for help.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
  • Take an interest in the actual role because then you start to enjoy the role don't treat it like a job and then it won't feel like one because it starts to make you feel ood when you do something correct or when you learn something new you feel accomplished
