  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I learned to work within a team. I learned how to delegate people and trust them in finishing the work. I learned how to communicate better with people around me, how to listen and how to organise better. I was a very shy person, afraid of costumers but know I overcome my fear, it is not all gone but I am managing more to calm myself and to speak with the customers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • At the beginning I thought it will not be useful for me, but learning and going on with the exams I realised that I am very lucky to be part of this apprenticeship, and that it will be very useful for me in the future in other jobs, and it is a step forward.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It can be improved. I feel it is a lot of information coming all togheter, at one point you are lost, what to study, where to start, I was doing math, English, learning about diversity, equality, hospitality at one point it become messy. After i took them in pieces and I learned gradually.

  • I had no communication or comments from my employer. The only support that I can say I was with the job flexibility. I asked for days off when I had my exams and I recieved those days. But nothing else.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider is there all the time. It is very supportive. During this covid situation, from time to time they were even sending news and videos how to stay healthy and safe mentally but physically aswell. They answered all my questions and explained my process to get at the end of this course.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Pret to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I am speaking how it was before lockdown and before all of the changes. Was a nice place to work, stressful but in a good way, the days were up and down, was nice to have a good team to work with. Now I will not recommend it to a friend, breaks not paid, short on staff people, working very hard, and sometimes no appreciation.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Pret?
  • To apply only if they are hard working people. It is not an easy job. You have a lot of responsibility, everything what you do it is followed buy a standard. If you Don t like rules and you Don t listen, it is not the right company for you.
